In October 1989, Rinpoche visited Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Jahor Baru in Malaysia and thereafter went to Singapore.
Rinpoche chose to teach the Preliminaries and Shamata sections of Ocean of Definitive Meaning. Since this was the first time Rinpoche taught this text, the recordings are a mix of preparation sessions for his translators as well as the "public" talks themselves.
