From the chapter, The Meeting with Rechungpa,  རས་ཆུང་པ་དང་མཇལ་བའི་སྐོར།   Milarepa blesses Rechungpa to go to India to get cured from his leprosy. Rechungpa builds the clay wall for the Jetsun's retreat cave, Za-Og-Phug, in this way walling him in and sets off for India. When he returns, he asks for the whereabouts of Milarepa and gets the answer, "There used to be a yogi here with the name of Mila, but no one has heard of him for a long time." Dreading that his guru has passed away, he goes to Za-Og-Phug and finds the wall exactly as he left it. Thinking that the Jetsun must have died, he breaks down the wall and to his delight finds him sitting straight upright in meditation. On his question, "Are you all-right?" Milarepa answers with this song.

For now, you find teachings from Karma Tengyal Ling, Ludwigshorst 4 August 1994, where Rinpoche presents the song as a description of the path and where it was first translated into English.
