When Peta and Dzeze, Milarepa's sister and former fiance, search for the Jetsün, they find him naked and skin and bone. After offering him beer and meat, which Milarepa accepts, they try to persuade him to comply a little bit more with worldly conventions but Milarepa answers with this song.
