In the chapter, Meeting With Lengom Repa, Milarepa's heart son expresses his gratitude for his master's kindness for showing him the path to the lasting happiness that naturally occurs by abandoning what is to be given up. The Jetsun sings him this song of realization that clearly shows how this comes about.
On Rinpoche's European tour in 1992, this song was taught at several dharma centers. Among some of them you will for now find the teachings from Athens, Rodby, Karma Tengyal Ling Ludwigshorst, and Mahamudra Retreat Zentrum Halscheid.
