Rinpoche's Lifestory རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་རྣམ་ཐར།

Rinpoche practiced one year retreat in a cave, Khampe Dorje Drag, his first, close to where his lama, lama Zothar resided. Lama Zothar gave the rock its name. Rinpoche draws how the area looks, how his cave was in relation to his lama's etc.
Rinpoche's second practice cave was near Lama Tukden's (?), at his parents homeland, a cave where druptob Lawapa, who flew in from India, had practiced. You needed rope to get up into it :-) It was a huge cave but Rinpoche built a small wall so that he could keep warm.
Then he practiced in a cave at Tsurphu, Nyenpa Rinpoche's cave behind Tsurphu. He practiced chu-len there for a week.
He then went and stayed with Drubpon Lama for a week in a cave named Gyalwa Kangpe Dragphug, the 4th cave.
Then he stayed in the Tsurphu cemetery for 2 weeks.
The 5th cave was Nyema Droma Phug, where the anis also lived. Rinpoche describes his retreat house. He did jidam practice there.
The next cave, 6th, was Gyalwa Longchen Rabjam pa'i Drag phug close to Lhasa, where he meditated for a week on Dzogchen in Osal Trin gyi phug. He didn't make fire and just ate cold tsampa and water.
7th. cave was in eastern India while in Baksam (?), Rinpoche went to a Mahakala cave, near a big river in Assam and it was difficult to get up to. He practiced cho there, because it was a frightening place. Karma Dargye and a monk was his servant. They lived below and brought him food.
8th cave was a Guru Rinpoche cave, Guru Dorje Drollo in Bhutan where he practiced Togal and Trekcho for a week.
Rinpoche spent 9 years in India from his 25th year (approximately) and then went to Bhutan at Drubde Gonpa for 9 years (?) and Europe.
There were 21 anis, 7 of them had died so in '85 there were 14 anis still alive. Rinpoche explains where they were now.
Rinpoche also had 2 dogs.

Rinpoche composed this aspiration as a youth and recited it:

དྲིན་ཅན་རྩ་བའི་བླ་སྙིང་དབུས་ནས་མཁྱེན་ནོ།   ཀ་དག་འོད་གསལ་དབྱིངས་ནས་བདག་སོགས་ལ་གཟིགས་དང་། (shog)

གཉིས་སྣང་འཁྲུལ་པའི་མུན་པ་གཞི་མེད་དུ་བཏང་སྟེ།   རྟོགས་པའི་ཉི་མ་ཤར་བར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རང་རློབས་ཤིག །

Then I also practiced in 4 great cemeteries: Tsurphu durtro, Yangdru durtro, Shar long durtro, Kharsho durtro(?), where I practised chod. Rinpoche sings gcod...
