At this course in Munich, where Rinpoche offers 22 talks over 7 days, three talks are devoted to explanations on and guiding the students in recitation meditating on the text and how to use it as a basis for meditation on compassion. Rinpoche relates his teachings to a then ongoing war with all the fears it involves. Rinpoche also teaches love and compassion mainly based on Jewel Ornament of Liberation.

This set of teachings is a beautiful example of Rinpoche's great kindness in teaching the anis the Tibetan dharma language. Rinpoche has the ani-las at Tek Chok Ling repeat after him.
During that winter, Rinpoche also taught the anis the Preliminary Practices, the Noble Maitreya's Aspiration Prayer, The Aspiration Prayer of the Bodhisattvas and the Prayer for Excellent Conduct.
Rinpoche explains the 37 practices again, since this group of anis weren't present the first time.
Rinpoche starts by briefly explaining Shentong Madhyamaka.
