From the first visit to White Rock Vajra Fortress, བྲག་སྐྱ་རྡོ་རྗེ་རྫོང་གི་སྐོར་ཚོ་སྔ་མ། a mantric practitioner, a Ngakpa, from Kutang visits the Jetsun and develops supreme faith in him. He asks, "Lama-la, I have been meditating for so many years and I have not understood a single essential point, developed my meditation, nor given rise to any qualities whatsoever. Please advise me." Milarepa answers, "Of all essential points, these are the ones to understand." and he then sings this song.
