While in retreat at the Mahamudra Retreat Zentrum, Halscheid, in 1996, on August 12, Rinpoche enters a session of his students meditating the Vajrasattva sadhana and begins to sing dohas walking up and down in the middle of the rows of students.
These dohas later became the song, A Song of No Attachment to This and That
