Talk 1, First Ground, Excellent Joy

Short introduction about the Four Noble Truths, the first turning of the wheel and the second. Mainly Nagarjuna is commenting the sutras of the second turning of the wheel in his book 'The Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way'.
In relation to Nagaurjuna's texts Chandrakirti wrote 'The Entrance into the Middle Way'.
There are 4 parts: 1) Explanation of the title, 2) Prostration/ Homage offered by the translator, 3) Explanation of the text itself, 4) Explanation of the conclusion.
1. The translation of the title
1.2. Prostration to the chosen deity
2.2. The actual treatise itself
2.2.1. The branches of entering into composition of the treatise
2.2.1.1. Why great compassion, the root of all virtue and excellence, is worthy of praise
2.2.1.1.1. All the noble beings are born from the three qualities of compassion and so forth
2.2.1.1.2.From among these three qualities, great compassion is foremost
2.2.1.2.1. The praise of compassion that focuses on sentient beings
2.2.1.2.2. The praise of compassion that focuses on phenomena and compassion the focuses on non-referentiality
2.2.2. An extensive explanation of the treatise composed
2.2.2.1. An explanation of the causes, the Bodhisattva grounds
2.2.2.1.1.The ground themselves
2.2.2.1.1.1. Excellent joy
2.2.2.1.1.1.1. A brief teaching on the essence of the ground that is the basis of its qualities
2.2.2.1.1.1.2.1.1. The accomplishment of attaining the quality of an extraordinary name
2.2.2.1.1.1.2.1.2.1. The qualities of being born into the family of Tathagatas and so forth
