Chapter 11: Aspirations, 16 July 1982
There are 4 kinds of aspiration:
1. aspiration for objects of enjoyments/senses 2. aspiration for only samadhi 3. aspiration for one's own benefit 4. aspiration for the sake of all sentient beings.
Rinpoche tells stories about the 3 Tibetan kings, who act according to Dharma for the benefit of all beings. If you work for the benefit of sentient beings the own benefit is accomplished. You have to practice by listening, reflecting and meditating the Mahayana teachings.
