The remedy for clinging to a self entity of the individual is to meditate upon the non-self of an individual, a brief explanation in the context of Chittamatra

a brief explanation on how to meditate on emptiness in the context of the Chittamatra or mind only school,
- Buddha Shakyamuni:
External appearances are not existent,
from mind there appears the varieties of appearances,
since the body, wealth and kleshas are the same,
mind only was distinctly taught.
- quotes by Rinpoche about the confused mind:
- If one does not know what the confused mind is,
to cling to this life which is like a dream, as being truly existent that is the confused mind.
-To cling to enemies and friends which are like illusions as being truly existent that is confusion.
- To cling to the confused conceptuality of the three times as being true is confusion,
to not recognize that confused conceptuality is not truly existent, but to cling to confused conceptuality which is not truly existent is further confusion.
- To view suffering which is not inherently existent as being truly existent, yet we cling to that as being true is the biggest type of confusion.
'To regard the changing of the conceptuality of happiness and suffering as being true this is confusion.'
' If one does not search for happiness within but searches for happiness externally one is confused.'
'Because if one recognizes that the way one is confused is like that, that is the remedy for confusion. Then individuals who are endowed with intelligence will be liberated in not too long.'
