Talk 1, 26 August 1997, Tibetan - English - French

French translation by Anne Munch.

Rinpoche composes verses:
When one knows the basic nature of the object / And one knows the basic nature of the mind (experiencing the object) / That is what is called the view. (1)
When one meditates on the basic nature of the object / And one meditates on the basic nature of the mind / That is what is called meditation. (2)
When one realizes the basic nature of the objects / This will purify or remove ones confusion about the objects.
When one purify the basic nature of the mind / This will remove one's delusion about mind. / Therefore having this view and acustomizing oneself through meditation is not meaningless. (3)
If one realize the basic nature of clinging to the idea of a self, / This will pacify the delusion of thinking that there is a self. (4)
If one knows the basic nature of the afflicted states of mind, / This will remove the delusion connected with our afflicted states of mind. (5)
If one knows the nature of suffering / One will be automatically liberated from suffering (6)
If one knows the nature of one's thoughts / Those thoughts will be liberated right on the spot (7)
Just like the waves of an ocean dissolving back into the ocean / And just like ice melting into water
One will understand what is being referred to when one say / The afflicted states will be liberated right on the spot
And suffering will be liberated right on the spot. (8)
