Rinpoche visited Crestone, Baca Colorado, August, 1985. While there, he extensively taught chapter 6.3 and 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 from Treasury of Knowledge to the Nalanda Translation Committee members. Rinpoche explained sections of the chapters that he often skips for more public audiences and go into detail.
In a public setting, Rinpoche also offered three talks on sutra mahamudra and had the senior students present topics, such as mahayana, madhyamaka, the four interpretations, and the four reliances.
