At the summer program of 1995 at Karmê Chöling called Union of Mahāmudrā and Mahā Ati, Rinpoche presented the first seminar on Gradual Path of the Wisdom Essence by Guru Rinpoche.
Over the course of two weeks, Rinpoche explained the view, meditation, conduct, and fruition that have come down from the lineage for the practice of Great Perfection. Starting with three lectures on songs of realization by Jetsün Milarepa, Rinpoche proceeded directly to the discussion of the fourth abhisheka and devoted the majority of the seminar to the outer mind section, inner expanse section and the trekchö portion of the instruction section.
