1) The basic character of afflictive factors

The flawed conceptual process does exist, / The dualism connected with it does not; / The emptiness belonging to it does, / But it exists, even in this case. / Empty it is not, not empty not; / And thus it is that all is accounted for, / Because of what exists, does not, and does. / This is what the middle way is about.
