The Great Scholar Atisha brought these precious teachings to Tibet in the eleventh century. They have been relevant throughout centuries and are also incredibly useful these present days, since they are short and easy to remember and can be practiced during all types of daily work.
For now, you can find talks on this wonderful text given in San Fransisco, 1993, at Karmê Choling, 2000 and 2001.
In San Fransisco 1993, Rinpoche furthermore explains how the text Words of My Perfect Teacher, རྫོགས་པ་ཆེན་པོ་ཀློང་ཆེན་སྙིང་ཏིག་གི་སྔོན་འགྲོའི་ཁྲིད་ཡིག་ཀུན་བཟང་བླ་མའི་ཞལ་ལུང་། relates to the first verse: the preliminaries.
At Karmê Chöling 2001, Rinpoche also introduces Atisha's master, Jowo Serlingpa's Verses on Leveling Out All Conceptions རྟོག་པ་འབུར་འཇོམ།
