Rinpoche often begins a course by firmly establishing the view of interdependence. It is such introductory talks that you find here:
- On the 12 September 1991, Rinpoche offers 1 talk to the sangha in Oregon on the topic of the Twelve Links of Interdependence.
- On the 2 October 1991 at the Seattle Shambhala Center, Rinpoche devotes 1 talk to the topic of interdependence and continues with songs by Jetsun Milarepa.
- In the Art Auditorium at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Monday the 3rd June 1996 at 7.30PM Rinpoche introduced the audience to the Twelve Interdependent Originations: Generating the Phenomenal World. This talk was cosponsored by Buddhist Studies Program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
- On the 17-19 September 2000 in Birmingham, Rinpoche first explains how the five constituents of an individual manifest interdependently and how that effects our daily experiences. There were two more talks offered in Birmingham. These are found in the main library in the category Songs of Realization, Distinguishing the Provisional from the Definitive in the Context of Mahamudra ཕྱག་ཆེན་དྲང་ངེས་རྣམ་འབྱེད།
- On the 8 September 2001, at the Shambhala Center in London, Rinpoche first points out how appearances manifest interdependently. He then continues with three talks on the Mahamudra Aspiration Prayer by 3rd Karmapa, Rangjung Dorje. These three latter talks can be found in the main library. - On the 4th of November 2002, visiting Denver Shambhala Center, Rinpoche offers the reading transmission for Gotsangpa's song Eight Flashing Lances and teachings on interdependent arising from Chandrakirti's Entering the Middle Way དབུ་མ་ལ་འཇུག་པ། the section Dependent Arising and the Result of Thorough Analysis.
